Any further education is an achievement. I’m not talking making it passed your 11 plus or passing your GCSE’s. In todays economical climate companies are only hiring the best of the best. Many companies such as large IT businesses only hire graduates. So what is it about university that scares so many people? There is always a little self doubt but some times people truly believe they wont have a fighting chance of getting into uni so don’t try for it. Some people can’t even afford it! Unfortunately unless you work really hard, or from the ground up you aren’t likely to have a first class career without studying for it first. Take teachers for example. They need to have completed a degree in another subject before they even start their teacher training.
Although it may seem like all students are not working very hard at all and are spending a lot of their time drinking and partying, they do still spend their days in classes or the library. Todays students will be tomorrows lawyers and accountants so don’t write them off just yet. The most difficult and technical degree course has to be medicine. It takes 6 long years for a student to become a doctor and that’s not even a GP! It takes many more years for them to carry on to do work experience and choose their specialist fields. You really do have to be a genius to be accepted on to the medicine degree course and all doctors should be saluted! If you know a doctor or have one in the family why not treat them to a pair of work related cufflinks. These doctor cufflinks are a great way to say thank you, happy birthday, or just well done for working so hard! And because they’re cufflinks, they serve a purpose, too!
