I was the unofficial wedding coordinator at my best friend’s wedding. Her fiancé, while willing to help out with the pick-ups and stuff, was a dunce at decision-making. Color motiffs, outfits, souvenirs – he had no opinion on much of it. When he couldn’t even cough up a coherent statement on what they might give to their parents, I simply took over and embraced my new role. I had no experience planning a wedding other than my own so started by talking to the bride and groom about how they envision the wedding to be. I also downloaded those ready-made wedding checklists online and figured out what they had accomplished so far and what else remained to be done. Thankfully, all the major arrangements for the church and reception venues had already been decided on and scheduled by my friend. The wedding gown and entourage gowns had also already been ordered up. It looked like all I needed to do was make sure everything goes smoothly and arrange for souvenirs and token gifts for the entourage. I thought I’d be buying myself a Balenciaga bag. Unfortunately, that wasn’t within the budget. What fit into the budget, though, were these gorgeous wedding cufflinks. Because of the affordable price and good quality, I decided to purchase cufflinks for souvenirs as well as tokens for the entourage. I was excited about these best man cufflinks, especially. The groom wholeheartedly assured me it was fabulous and remarked that he ought to hand it out prior to the wedding so that the best man would have something cool to wear.
